Job Description
Camosun College Motor Vehicle and Metal Trades department requires a full time term instructor for the Sheet Metal Program at our Interurban Campus.

The program curriculum includes content in HVAC systems, architectural sheet metal, stainless steel and aluminum fabrication, Industrial systems, and layout in both traditional and CNC techniques.

Responsibilities include: Instruction to apprentice or entry level students; preparing and presenting classroom lectures and practical demonstrations; assessing learning outcomes and working collaboratively with the Chair, Program Leader, and other faculty to ensure the best possible learning environment.

Qualifications
  • Sheet Metal Worker Certificate of Qualification with Inter-Provincial Red Seal
  • A minimum of five years recent journeyperson industry experience
  • A minimum of one year experience in a teaching, leadership, mentoring or coaching role
  • Provincial Instructors Diploma considered an asset
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
